Abstract:
A fuel supply system and a fuel supply method for a liquefied gas carrier are disclosed. The fuel supply system for a liquefied gas carrier, according to the present invention, comprises: a fuel supply line for supplying liquefied gas from a fuel supply tank provided at the deck of the carrier to an inboard engine; a delivery pump provided in the fuel supply line to deliver liquefied gas to be supplied from the fuel supply tank to the engine; a compression pump provided in the fuel supply line to compress the liquefied gas at a pressure required for the engine; a return line for recirculating non-consumed liquefied gas of the liquefied gas, which is not consumed by the engine, to upstream of the engine; a separator provided in the return line to be supplied with the recirculated liquefied gas and separate same into gas and liquid; a liquid line for supplying the liquid-phase liquefied gas, separated by the separator, to the rear end of the delivery pump in the fuel supply line; a cooler provided downstream of the junction point of the liquid line in the fuel supply line to cool the liquefied gas; and a refrigerant supply line diverging from the fuel supply line between the delivery pump and the junction point of the liquid line to supply the entire liquefied gas pumped by the delivery pump or a part thereof as a refrigerant to the cooler.
