To provide a fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine with an intake manifold selectively fluid connected to a combustion chamber and a bypass gas flow line having an inlet portion opening to the intake manifold and an outlet portion opening to the intake manifold and located on the downstream side of the inlet portion.
The system comprises an electronic controlled throttle valve functionally arranged in the intake manifold and adapted to be moved between opening and closing positions for controlling an air flow into the intake manifold. An idling speed control valve functionally arranged in the bypass gas flow line is adapted to be moved between the opening and closing positions for controlling an air flow into the bypass gas flow line. A control system controls the start of both the throttle valve and the idling speed control valve and controls the supply of a combustible filler into the internal combustion engine to maximize engine efficiency and minimize harmful exhaust gas.
