To provide a fuel supply system equipped with a fuel pump in the middle of a fuel supply pipe and discharging vapor into a fuel tank without providing passages other than the fuel supply pipe.
The fuel tank 10 is situated at a position upper than an injector 12, a solenoid type plunger pump 16 and a returnless type regulator 18 are provided in order in the middle of the fuel supply pipe 14 leading from the fuel tank 10 to the injector 12, and a fuel inlet 27 of the solenoid type plunger pump 16 is situated at the uppermost position in the solenoid type plunger pump 16. With use of the returnless type regulator 18, a fuel return passage conventionally required is made unnecessary. Returning of vapor generated in the solenoid type plunger pump 16 through the fuel supply pipe 14 makes a vapor discharge passage conventionally required, unnecessary. As these fuel return passage and vapor discharge passage are not required, the system is applicable to motorcycles having limited spaces for installation.
