Title:
FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3767803
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply system of an internal combustion engine, which can promote atomization of the fuel and reduce unburnt exhausts such as HC during operation of an engine by enabling the heating of fuel not only at the time of normal operation of the engine but also at the time of a starting operation of the engine.
SOLUTION: This fuel supply system is equipped with a fuel heating device for heating the fuel supplied to a fuel injection device of an engine. This system comprises a heat accumulator for accumulating the heat of cooling water at an engine outlet, a cooling water supply pipe with an electric motor pump for connecting the heat accumulator with the fuel heating device, and a switch valve for switching the connection between the cooling water pipe on the side of the cooling water outlet of the engine and the heat accumulator and the connection between the heat accumulator and the cooling water supply pipe. The fuel heating device is constituted to heat the fuel with the cooling water supplied through the cooling water supply pipe from the heat accumulator.
