Title:
FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1193789
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To shorten the distance between high-pressure fuel pump and a fuel injector to reduce the pulsation of the fuel, and stabilize the injection quantity of the fuel by providing a high-pressure regulator for regulating the pressure of the fuel discharged from the high-pressure fuel pump between the high- pressure pump of a fuel passage and the fuel injector.

A fuel is sucked from a suction port 5c, carried into a fuel pressurizing chamber through the part of a damper 30, pressurized by the reciprocating motion of a plunger, and discharged through a discharge passage 4a. The fuel leaving the fuel pressurizing chamber is passed through a high-pressure accumulator 31 part and further through a high-pressure regulator 32 part, and discharged through a discharge port 4d. The pulsation generated in a high- pressure fuel pump 3 is absorbed by the high-pressure accumulator 31, or the pressure of the discharged fuel is regulated by the high-pressure regulator 32, whereby the distance with the high-pressure fuel pump 3 is shortened to reduce the pulsation of the fuel, and the injection quantity of the fuel is stabilized.
