Abstract:
To discharge air mixed in a fuel supply system after repair in failure.
Fuel pressure in a fuel gallery 13 is detected by a fuel pressure sensor 21 when restarted after repair due to engine failure. If fuel pressure is less than a predetermined value, it is determined that air is mixed by detachment of a fuel supply system part in repair and air is discharged from a fuel pressure relief valve 16 until fuel pressure gets to a predetermined value or higher by driving a fuel pump 5 while the fuel pressure relief valve 16 is intermittently opened.
