To provide a container for a fuel tank having required conditions such as sufficient bending rigidity necessary for the fuel tank for a vehicle, a large volume, a flat shape or the like and comprising a PEN resin by a novel manufacturing method.
The container for the fuel tank comprising the polyethylene naphthalate resin is manufactured by a method composed of a process A, a preform preparing process, a process B, a preform arranging process, a process C, a preform state regulating process, a process D, a primary blow molded product molding process, a process E: a primary blow molded product taking-out process, a process F, a primary blow molded product state regulating process, a process G, a primary blow molded product blowing and compressing process and a process H, a compressed blow molded product taking-out process. This manufacturing method is constituted so that a preform not substantially containing spherulites or voids in its body part is prepared in the process A, the primary blow molded product expanded so that the whole surface of the preform comes into contact with a mold surface is obtained in the process D and the primary blow molded product is expanded and compressed in the direction at least parallel to the center axis of a mouth part in the process G.
