To provide a fuel tank made of a synthetic resin and composed so as to satisfy both welding strength and barrier capability.
This fuel tank made of a synthetic resin has a tank body 1 composed by laminating a gasoline barrier material 2b and using a general material at least on its outside surface, and a daughter component 2 provided with a part formed of the gasoline barrier material and bonded to an opening formed in the tank body. In this case, the fuel tank is characterized in that at least the bonding part of the daughter component to the tank body is formed of the general material 2a, and at least a part thereof directly exposed to either of the inside and the outside of the tank or the intermediate layer thereof is formed of the gasoline barrier material. Thereby, HC permeation from the part of the general material can be restrained while the welding strength is secured.
