Abstract:
To provide a fuel tank having improved leakage resistance, and a method of manufacturing the same.
There is provided a fuel tank in which an inner layer 3 composed of low density polyethylene is laminated on an inner surface of a metallic outer wall layer 2, and the adhesive strength by a 90-degree peel test of the outer wall layer 2 and the inner layer 3 is 10 N or less. A method of manufacturing the tank is also provided in which the low density polyethylene is uniformly coated on the entire inner wall of a metallic tank whose inner surface is smooth.
