Abstract:
To provide a fuel tank which reduces an amount of fuel vapor leaking from the fuel tank during oil supply.SOLUTION: When a vehicle runs for a long time, an internal temperature of a fuel tank body 20 heated from an exhaust pipe etc. rises and an amount of fuel vapor in the fuel tank body 20 is increased. Meanwhile, in the fuel tank body 20, a fuel diffuser panel 70 is disposed near an opening 78A of a filler pipe 78. Thus, a fuel supplied from the filler pipe 78 to the fuel tank body 20 directly hits the fuel diffuser panel 70 and scatters within the fuel tank body 20. Further, the scattering fuel evaporates. These effects lower the internal temperature of the fuel tank body 20 and an amount of the fuel vapor in the fuel tank body 20 decreases. As a result, the amount of the fuel vapor leaking from an oil filler port through the filler pipe 78 to the outside during oil supply can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
