To suppress the generation of fuel steam in a tank main body at the time of fuel with a check valve used on a fuel tank.
A check valve 30 is fitted at the tip section of an inlet lower pipe 22 guiding fuel into a tank main body 12, and it is provided with a housing 32 having a discharge port 38, a valve element 40 and a spring 50. The check valve 30 is normally closed by the exciting force of the spring 50 to prevent the fuel steam in the tank main body 12 from being discharged to the atmosphere when a fuel cap is opened, and it is pressed and opened by fuel at the time of fuel feed. The discharge port 38 is formed on the whole periphery of the housing 32 to discharge the fuel toward the whole liquid surface of the tank main body 12, and it acts to cool the fuel steam in the tank main body 12.
