To provide a carburetor that prevents a simultaneous feed of a large quantity of nonuniform fuel vapor to an engine.
The carburetor has in the body a fuel/air mixture passage passing therethrough and a fuel metering chamber formed at least partly in the body. The fuel metering chamber has an inlet connecting to a fuel source and an outlet formed by a plurality of holes in the body. The plurality of holes are in communication with the fuel/air mixture passage and are in positions in the body where fuel vapor normally flows at least when the body is in a normal operating attitude. Fuel vapor and liquid fuel in the fuel metering chamber are drawn through the plurality of holes, and a large bubble of the fuel vapor and a mass thereof are prevented from passing downward through the carburetor.
