Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a full focus image pickup method that can provide a fresh full focus image not including a past focused pixel earlier than one period of a focal position in real time.
SOLUTION: The full focus image pickup method of this invention includes an image input step where an image formed by a variable focus means for periodically moving a focal position is sequentially received by an image memory from an image pickup means as an image signal, an image extract step where focused pixels respectively focused to an observation object are discriminated and extracted from image signals for one part period of the focal point, an image output step where extracted focused pixels are synthesized to generate one full focal point image, and the resultant full focal point image is supplied to a display device. Thus, every time one picture is picked up, a fresh full focal point image not including the focused pixel earlier by one period of the focal position is provided in real time.
