Abstract:
To improve availability factor of a full open type box-shaped carrier.
In order to use a ship as a full open barge, a pair of movable structural bodies 4a, 4b are arranged on a both side horizontal portions on the bottom of a hold. The bottom of the hold shows thus substantially a V- character form composed of two tapered surfaces. In order to use the ship as a box-shaped barge, the movable structural bodies 4a, 4b are moved to tapered portions on the center of the hold by a crane or the like. The bottom of the hold thus shows a flat, or a substantially flat surface.
