Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function generating circuit operable at low voltage for a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator.
SOLUTION: First, second and third current conversion circuits 510, 520, 530 are cascade-connected, and current It2 proportional to the difference between an ambient temperature Ta and a reference temperature Tr is inputted to the first current conversion circuit 510; the first electric current conversion circuit 510 supplies a current which is proportional to the square of Ta-Tr to the second electric current conversion circuit 520; the second current conversion circuit 520 supplies the current proportional to the fourth power of Ta-Tr to the third electric current conversion circuit 530; and the third current conversion circuit 530 outputs the current It5 which is proportional to the fifth power of Ta-Tr. None of the first, second and third current conversion circuits has a configuration which does not need a power source voltage that is high for a series circuit which can drive three or more diodes.
