Abstract:
To develop a functional rayon fiber having deodorizing functions or moisture absorbing and releasing functions.
A rayon fiber comprising Bincho charcoal activated to ≥500 mg/g iodine adsorption performances (measured according to JIS K1471-1991) with a gas or a chemical, i.e. microparticles of the activated Bincho charcoal provides the functional rayon having the excellent deodorizing or moisture absorbing and releasing functions. The size of the activated Bincho charcoal microparticles is preferably ≤5 μm and the mixing ratio thereof in the rayon is preferably ≤30 wt.%.
