Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a functional separation membrane which is excellent in resistance against radiation and whose pore sizes can positively controlled.
SOLUTION: A membrane made of a crosslinked fluorocarbon resin is prepared. The membrane is irradiated with radiation passing through pores of a mask having many pores to produce a plurality of pores in the membrane. The membrane with pores is subjected to grafting to impart various kinds of functions to the surface.
