Abstract:

To provide functionalized main chain polymers such as polyaryletherketones and polyethersulfones, and to provide polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells thereof.

The functionalized main chain polymer is used as non crosslinked, covalently crosslinked and/or optionally ionically crosslinked polymer, and especially the covalently crosslinked and/or optionally ionically crosslinked polymer comprises a repeating unit in which the divalent group of aromatic series or heterocyclic aromatic series or an aliphatic compound is connected with oxygen or sulfur.
