PURPOSE: To obtain a fungicidal composition by combining an organotin fungicide with sulfur, thus manifesting outstanding synergetic effect against beet's brown spots and potato's late blight, which cannot anticipate from the effect of individual components.

CONSTITUTION: The subject fungicide for agricultural and horticultural purposes is obtained by combining an organotin fungicide such as triphenyltin hydroxide or tripheyltin acetate with sulfur. The controlling value of only an organotin fungicide is about 60%, but the combination thereof with sulfur can completely or substantially completely control beet's brown spot. The composition can be used in various forms such as dust, flowable agent or wettable dust together with a variety of carriers and auxiliaries.
