Abstract:

To obtain a new Trichothecium roseum capable of efficiently producing precursors for diverse semisynthetic taxols by having productivity of taxols.

This fungus has productivity of taxols. This Trichothecium roseum is deposited as FERM P-16,381. Preferably the fungus belonging to the genus Trichothecium is cultured in a nutrient medium under aerobic conditions and a taxol is collected from the culture product to produce the taxol.
