To reduce the stress occurring in the fixed-form refractory of a stationary part by piling up fixed form of refractories in such condition that they lie in the direction of radiations having their centers on the inside of the furnace to make the pile structure of fixed-form refractories.
For the fixed-form refractories 7 of a stationary part 4 from the furnace floor 2 to the sidewall 3 of a molten metal container 1 such as an electric furnace, or the like, the fixed-form refractories 7 are piled up, in such condition that they lie in the direction of the radiations having their center on the inside of the furnace, inside the bricks 8 for permanent pavement executed to the furnace floor 2 or the sidewall 3, and sidewall fixed-form refractories 9 on the side of the sidewall 3 are piled up horizontally thereon. That is, the fixed-form refractories 7 are piled up in ring form, being made in the the same length with their furnace periphery side thickened and furnace interior side thinned, and with their furnace interiors on operation side and their furnace periphery side in required curved form. Hereby, the stress occurring the fixed- form refractory of the stationary part 4 can be reduced.
