Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a furnace bottom structure having a through-hole for discharging a molten material from a furnace bottom portion of a low carbon type shaft furnace, the furnace bottom structure having high durability and effective for operating the low carbon type shaft furnace at sufficiently high heat efficiency while the through-hole is constantly opened.SOLUTION: There is provided the furnace bottom structure having a through-hole for causing burner exhaust gas including an oxidation gas to flow into a low carbon type shaft furnace from the outside of the furnace, and for discharging a molten material from the inside of the furnace to the outside of the furnace. The furnace bottom structure comprises: an alumina-based refractory block constituting an upper inner circumferential surface in contact with burner exhaust gas, of an inner circumferential surface of the through-hole; a silicon carbide refractory block constituting a lower inner circumferential surface including a bottom surface in contact with the molten material, of the inner circumferential surface of the through-hole; and at least one pipe conduit buried around the through-hole and for causing cooling fluid to flow therein.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
