PURPOSE: To improve melting efficiency by jetting inclined high speed combustion flame to a molten metal surface, circulatively flowing the molten metal surface and melting the granular or bulky metal charged into the furnace from an inclined passage.
CONSTITUTION: Plural burners 5 for jetting fluid fuel or pulverized solid fuel for burning by using oxygen at the room temp. or high temp. are inclinedly arranged to the surface of the molten metal 4, and by jetting the high speed combustion flame to the molten metal surface, the molten metal surface is circulatively flowed. The granular or bulky metal 3 at the room temp. or preheated, is charged into the furnace while sliding the inclined passage 2 arranged in the melting furnace 1, and the temp. combustion gas generated in the furnace is exhausted through this inclined passage 2. By this method, the melting efficiency of the granular or bulky metal can be improved.
