PURPOSE: To secure a passage and a work space, and enable a device to cope with various living ways by setting a counter to be freely opened or closed.

CONSTITUTION: A partition furniture 1a has an opening 6 for enabling a counter 5 to be contained on the upper side, and on the opening 6, via a slide rail 7 fixed on the partition furniture 1a, the slidable counter 5 is fitted. The counter 5 is fitted to be connected to a table 4 set to be confronted with the partition furniture 1a. On the front surface of the opening 6, a door 8 to be freely opened or closed when the counter 5 is contained is set. By setting the counter 5 to be freely opened or closed, a passage and a work space 3 can be secured between the partition furniture 1a and the table 4 in a narrow residential space or a limited residential space, and on table with many people, by setting the counter 5 in an opened state, the counter 5 and the table 4 are connected to each other, and the table 4 can be used in a wide area and can be used for a space for mounting a rice cooker, a pot, and so on.
