Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mounting strength of legs in the mutual connection of the bar-shaped legs of a desk through a horizontal beam for reinforcement.
SOLUTION: The leg 3 is formed in a hollow shape and provided with a reinforcing metal fitting 13a inserted to a dovetail groove 12 formed in the inner part. The lower end of the reinforcing metal fitting 13a is formed in a fork part 18, and the fork part 18 is fitted to an engagement groove 19 and a narrow part 20 formed in the horizontal beam 7. The horizontal beam 7 is fastened to the bar-shaped leg 3 with a screws 21 extended to the rear bar- shaped leg 3 from the rear. The reinforcing metal fitting 13a is screwed to an upper frame, and a top plate is mounted on the upper frame. The reinforcing effect to the bar-shaped leg 3 is improved by the presence of the vertically long reinforcing metal fitting 13a to make the desk to a solid structure as the whole.
