To provide a furniture system having a power feeding unit having a non-conductive state excepting a time when power is fed from the power feeding unit to a power receiving unit.
The furniture system includes: a power feeding unit 5 provided at a table (fixed furniture) 2, and receiving power fed from outside; a power receiving unit 4 provided at a cart (movable furniture) 3, disposed opposite to the power feeding portion 5 when the cart 3 comes closer to the table 2, and receiving power fed from the power feeding unit 5; and a switch portion 9 for switching between the power feeding to the power feeding unit 5 and the cutting of the power feeding to the power feeding unit 5. When the cart 3 comes closer to or abuts on the table 2, the switch portion 9 feeds power to the power feeding unit 5, and when the cart 3 is separated from the table 2, the switch portion cuts power feeding to the power feeding unit 5.
