To provide an earthquake sensing and shoot-out preventive furniture piece, capable of preventing contents stored in a drawer, a door or furniture from shooting out of the furniture quaking during the transportation or in an earthquake, preventing the furniture from easily falling and preventing secondary disaster of the transportation or earthquake, etc. of hitting of the shot-out contents from the drawer, door or furniture against a person or article.
A rail 27 and a locking mechanism are attached to the furniture with a drawer part such as a cupboard or a bookcase. The rail 27 has an automatic retraction function for preventing opening of the drawer part and automatically retracting the drawer part with a retraction spring 24 during the transportation, transfer or earthquake. In the locking mechanism, a locking clamp 21 is automatically locked with a lock strike 19 when the drawer is forced in and the lock is released when a handle 7 is drawn.
