To provide a fuse which becomes to have a simple structure without any waste, in which mounting becomes easy and in which an electric current can be shut off surely.

The fuse 10 is a member in which a metallic linear member rich in elasticity is formed in nearly the same shape as that of a twisted coil spring having two arms. In a state that an angle formed by the arms 10a, 10b is made open up to nearly 180°, the first end part 11 is inserted into a through hole 21b of a circuit board 20, the second end part 12 is inserted into a locking hole 23 of the circuit board 20, and the fuse 10 is temporarily fixed to the circuit board 20 by an elastic force of a spring part 14. The first end part 11 and the intermediate terminal 13 are respectively soldered to the respective terminals 11, 22. An erected part 15 at chain line C is severed, and the tip part of the separated arm 10b is taken off and removed from the locking hole 23. When the solder 32 to fix the intermediate terminal 13 and the second terminal 22 is fused, the arm 10b is swung centered on the spring part 14 by the elastic force of the spring part 14, and the intermediate terminal 13 is separated from the second terminal 22 and it is open-circuited between the first terminal 21 and the second terminal 22.
