PURPOSE: To easily insert a fuse on the operation of an automatic machine and mount the fuse on a high density packaging board by forming a recessed contact plane on a contactor piece at both sides of a fuse clip, and keeping a center contactor piece in contact with a fuse electrode.
CONSTITUTION: A glass tube fuse 2 is retained with the holding section of a pair of fuse clips 10, and legs 15 and 16 formed as integral part of the clips 10 are inserted in the holes 4a of a printed circuit board 4. Then, the legs 15 and 16 are connected and fixed to a circuit pattern. The holding section is formed out of three approximately parallel contact pieces 12 to 14 integrated with the base upper section thereof. Furthermore, the opposed inner edges of the pieces 12 and 14 at both sides are formed to have contact planes 12a' and 14' having a bent peripheral section and recessed surface to suit the outer surface of the electrodes 2a and 2b of the fuse 2. Also, the center contact piece 13 is bent approximately like a U-shape toward one side from the lower end of the base section thereof, and extended upward. Then, the end of the piece 13 comes in contact with electrode edges 2a' and 2b'.
