Abstract:
To provide a fireproof material having low reactivity and excellent thermal shock resistance.SOLUTION: A fused quartz-silicon nitride fireproof material according to the present invention is formed containing 30-75 mass% of a silicon nitride material and 25-70 mass% of a fused quartz material so that the total amount thereof is 90 mass% or more when the whole mass is 100 mass%, and has a porosity of 7-18%, a compressive strength of 35 MPa or more, and a coefficient of linear thermal expansion at 1,000°C of 0.3% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
