Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a fusion combustion apparatus wherein pulverized coal is introduced in an axial direction from a central portion of a top end of a vertical casing and secondary air is tangentially introduced from a side wall and gasification is carried out while circular motion is being carried out.
CONSTITUTION: Horizontal angles of secondary air nozzles 14a, 14b, 14c are variable. In a high load the nozzles are directed somewhat inward so as to prevent fuel from reaching a wall face before ignition and fusion, and in a low load the nozzles are directed somewhat outward in order to prevent circularly moving force from decreasing due to reduction of flow.
