To provide a gain and phase calibration apparatus capable of calibrating gain and phase of an electrical converter such as an amplifier etc. to be calibrated, stably, accurately and easily over a long period.
The apparatus comprises: signal generators 3, 4, 5 for outputting signal voltage that can optionally adjust alternating voltage and phase with respect to a reference voltage; an electrical converter 6 to be calibrated for inputting the signal voltage of the signal generators; a differential amplifier 7 for inputting the reference voltage to one input terminal and output voltage from the electrical converter 6 to be calibrated to the other input terminal; and a zero detector 8 for inputting output voltage from the differential amplifier 7. The gain and phase of the electrical converter 6 can be recognized and calibrated by adjusting the voltage and the phase of the signal generators 3, 4, 5 so that the zero detector 8 should indicate zero.
