Title:
GAIT TRAINING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009183657
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a gait training apparatus which facilitates a stance support, the movement of a leg by controlling the inner/outer turning of a disabled-side hip joint, and the assistance of centroid movement control, thereby assisting the stance support of a disabled-side lower limb, promoting the use of the disabled-side lower limb, and attaining gait training with a large stride at higher gait speed and a high exercise load even on a cardiorespiratory function.

The gait training apparatus assists the stance support of the lower limb by traction with a traction part, including: a leg facing part 2 having a leg front surface part 7 extended from the upper part of a leg joint to the lower part of the knee so as to cover the front surface of the leg, and a fixing part 8 fixing the leg front surface part to the leg; a kneecap facing part 3 connected to the upper part of the leg facing part so as to cover the front surface of the kneecap; a femoral round part 4 connected to the upper part of the kneecap facing part, so as to be started from the front surface of the leg part, branched inward and outward, extended upward and backward, and then, horizontally connected in the upper part of a rear femoral surface; a hip section facing part 5 connected to the upper part of the femoral round part so as to largely cover the hip section from the rear part; and the traction part 6 connected to the upper part of the hip section facing part and having a mechanism to assist the knee joint and the stretch of the knee joint by performing the upward traction of the hip section facing part.
