PURPOSE: To prevent self-discharge of a cell in storage by supplying electrolytic liquid spective positive pole chambers or negative pole chambers and connecting lead-out pipes to an electrolytic liquid storage vessel through a multiple closing member enabling both closing and opening.
CONSTITUTION: A rechargeable zinc-bromine cell which is an electrolytic liquid circulating type galvanic cell is formed as a type in which plural positive and negative pole chambers are laminated by contacting together plural electrodes 2 made of carbon plastic and separating boards 1 on their external edges in liquid- tightness. In the above-mentioned cell, a multiple closing member 7 is used, which is made rotatable and provided with a notch 11 varying in its sectional area to increase the resistance of electrolytic liquid on its end portions and decrease it in its central portion, in a casing 8, so as to be opened to respective supply and lead-out pipes 5, so that electrolytic liquid may be supplied into and led out of respective positive and negative pole chambers. Then self-discharge can be prevented by checking ununiformed shortcircuit current and battery capability can well be maintained even in long time storage.
