In the game ball counting device, a placing base 25 for placing a ball box 30 for storing game balls is disposed on the counter 5 of a bank 1 of game machines, a game ball counting unit 27 for counting the game balls discharged from the ball box 30 for storing the game balls and returning them into the bank 1 of game machines is provided below the placing base. The placing base 25 has a ball putout port 43 for putting out the game balls in the ball box 30 for storing the game balls to the lower part. The game ball counting unit 27 has a casing 29 having a ball receiving port 45 for receiving the game balls put out from there, and a ball path portion 57 provided inside the casing 29 and having a receiving portion 57a right under the ball receiving port 45. The ball path portion 57 has a game ball counting means 10 and a ball count introduction path 57b extended roughly in a lateral direction following the receiving portion 57a, and the receiving portion 57a includes a bottom part in a duckboard shape for guiding the game balls to the ball count introduction path 57b.
