Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game device which can easily and smoothly perform conversations between a player character and a non-player character, and a controlling method for the game device.
SOLUTION: A status display determining unit 111 of this game device is constituted in such a manner that the content of a status display indicating the presence/absence of a conversation information possession of respective non-player characters to a player is determined by determining which non-player character has conversation information to the player, and which non-player character does not have the conversation information to the player. Also, a selecting unit 112 selects a non-player character which performs the status display from among one or a plurality of non-player characters displayed on a game screen. Then, a game operation unit 100 performs a game operation for output-displaying the status display indicating the presence/absence of the conversation information possession in such a manner that when one or a plurality of non-player characters are displayed on the game screen, the status of the non-player characters can be known by the player without having a conversation.
