Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game device and an information storage medium with which suitable game operation can be provided while using operation data from a 3D lever. SOLUTION: When a 3D 60 lever falls down, a character 50 is moved to the direction of falling, when the 3D lever is pulled up, the character jumps and when the 3D lever is pushed down, the character squats down. When the 3D lever falls while being pulled up, the character moves while jumping and when the 3D lever falls while being pushed down, the character moves while squatting down. The direction or orbit of a ball thrown from the character is controlled according to the direction instruction of the 3D lever. When the 3D lever is pushed down, the pre-operation of jump is performed and the character jumps with jumping power corresponding to the term of pushing the 3D lever. The speed of a moving object and the size, attack direction and attack range of a display object are controlled by vertically operating the 3D lever. The game operation performed with a button is substituted by vertically operating the 3D lever and all the game operation can be performed with one hand. When the 3D lever falls down, the X and Z coordinates of the moving object are changed and when the 3D lever is vertically operated, the Y coordinate is changed.
