A game device 100 includes a liquid crystal display 10 and an infrared camera 21 to construct a medium arrangement area 40. A card 50 is placed in the medium arrangement area 40. The infrared camera 21 photographs a photographing area 41. The medium arrangement area 40 includes a portion of a display area 11 and a portion of a frame area 12 of the liquid crystal display 10, and the photographing area 41. The display area 11 and the photographing area 41 are arranged adjacently across the frame area 12.
