Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game device that can accurately move a character in the direction desired by a user.SOLUTION: A game device of the present invention includes a touch panel for receiving a touch operation from a user, a display unit for displaying a character, and a processing unit for processing a game based on the touch operation by the user. The processing unit includes an area setting unit for setting multiple areas corresponding to the multiple directions in which the character moves within the touch panel where the character is at its center, and a movement control unit for moving the character in the direction corresponding to any one area of the multiple areas based on the touch operation. The area setting unit is configured to set a blank area surrounded by the multiple areas in the touch panel, and the blank area is configured such that the processing unit may not sense the touch operation by the user and/or the movement control unit may not move the character.
