The game machine has a plurality of performance devices for directing a game and is capable of generating a special game state by the result of a variable display game. The game machine includes: a group integral control means for dividing respective systems of the performance devices into a plurality of groups and integrally controlling each of the group unit control means by providing for each group the group unit control means for controlling the performance devices belonging to the divided group; a timing signal line for transmitting a timing signal from the group general control means to the group unit control means; and a data line for transferring respective data in a down direction and an up direction between the group general control means and the group unit control means. The group unit control means includes an initialization means to determine whether the data line is being occupied, and when determined that it is being occupied, initialize the group unit control means itself.
