In a game machine, when finishing an initial check after power is supplied, a sub control unit 160 operates a timer for three seconds to wait for a power recovery command from a main control unit 100, and if it receives the power recovery command within three seconds, it determines that the game machine is normal in order not to perform error processing (refer to Fig. 128(A)). On the other hand, the sub control unit 160 waits for the power recovery command from the main control unit 100 after the power is supplied and the initial check is finished, and at a time when three seconds elapse without receiving the power recovery command (time-up), it determines that the game machine is abnormal in order to perform the error processing (refer to Fig. 128(B)).
