PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a taste of a game.SOLUTION: A pachinko machine 1 causes a first time-shortening counter to count the total number of times of a first special symbol notification display and of a second special symbol notification display executed during time-shortening control. Further, a second time-shortening counter counts the number of times of the second special symbol notification display executed during the time-shortening control. The time-shortening control is terminated when one condition out of a plurality of conditions is established, the plurality of conditions including that the number of times counted by the first time-shortening counter reaches the first number of times of time shortening, and the number of times counted by the second time-shortening counter reaches the second number of times of time shortening. Further, in response to a start of the time-shortening control, a second special variation counter starts to count the number of times of executing the second special symbol notification display. In special symbol variation pattern determination based on special symbol 2 operation-start information, a type of the variation pattern is determined on the basis of the number of times counted by the second special variation counter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 48
