A slot machine has a starting lever becoming operable when a token is slotted. With the operation of the starting lever, a lottery processing is conducted for a bonus winning combination. The winning by the lottery gives opportunity to get the game controlled to the shift to the bonus defined state that enables the stop and display of bonus symbols. When the bonus symbols are stopped and displayed under the bonus defined state, a bonus game performing the putting out of a large number of tokens is carried out. However, when a prescribed small winning combination is won, priority is given to the stop and display of small winning combination symbols other than those of the bonus symbols.
