Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which can immediately read a program to be executed to start processing while allowing storage means for storing image information to store the program.SOLUTION: A program to be executed by an MPU 181 of a display control device 81 is stored in a character ROM 192 which stores image data. A NAND flash memory 192a is provided in the character ROM 192 and a first program storage area 192d is built in a ROM controller 192b, image data and most programs are stored in the NAND flash memory 192a, and a part of a boot program is stored in the first program storage area 192d. When power supply is detected in a ROM controller 191b, the ROM controller 192b sets the boot program from the first program storage area 192d to a buffer RAM 192c.
