Abstract:
To provide a game steel ball that has hard silica glass having pencil hardness of 6 or higher on a surface, and is coated with a hard silica glass layer that has gloss of excellent transparency, prevents a stain from being adhered easily, and can be easily cleaned.SOLUTION: A surface of a game steel ball, such as a Pachinko ball, is coated with a silica glass precursor, such as polysilazane so as to produce a game steel ball coated with a hard silica glass layer by conversion. The hard silica glass layer may contain a hard fine granule or a photocatalyst, or a hard fine granule and a photocatalyst. The hard silica glass layer has pencil hardness of 6H or higher.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
