Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide gamma corrected signals without changing white balance for executing optimum gamma correction for each color.
CONSTITUTION: First and second gamma correction parts 2 and 5 are respectively provided for each color signal, the respective first gamma correction parts 2 output the gamma corrected signals having the same correcting amount, and the respective second gamma correction parts 5 output the gamma corrected signals having correcting amounts different for each color. A white level reference pulse and a black level reference pulse are inserted into chrominance signals, and arithmetic is executed so that the result of multiplying timing for these reference pulses can be zero.
