Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve prevention activity of infection with pathogenic bacteria or viruses of powdered milk, by adding a ganglioside mainly to powdered milk prepared for nursing of infants or powdered milk for immature infants.
CONSTITUTION: Powdered milk blended with a ganglioside. This ganglioside is preferably a ganglioside shown by the general formula (NANA)n-Gal- Glc-ceramide (NANA is N-acetylneuraminic acid; Gal is galactose; Glc is glucose; n is 1 or 2 integer). The amount of the ganglioside based on the powdered milk is preferably ≥0.5mgwt%.
