PURPOSE: To easily adjust the thickening ratio of a paper slurry to a desired level by adjusting the gap between a drum for separating a paper-making raw material and an auxiliary drum by the action of a gear-interlocking mechanism and a swing lever.
CONSTITUTION: A drum A having a net wound around the whole surface of the outer circumference to separate a paper-making raw material and an auxiliary drum B having nearly the same outer circumference structure are parallelly placed in a paper stock slurry tank placed in an outer easing C. Both drums A and B are rotated in opposite directions in a state to almost contact the outer circumferences with each other and the paper slurry is passed from the outer surface inward to separate the paper-making raw material from the slurry by depositing the material on the outer circumference. A 1st intermediate gear 23 engaging with a main gear 21 fixed to the paper raw material separating drum A and a 2nd intermediate gear 24 engaging with an auxiliary gear 22 fixed to the auxiliary drum B are placed in an interlocked state between the main gear 21 and the auxiliary gear 22. The gap between the drums A and B is adjusted by swinging the auxiliary drum B by the actions of the 1st intermediate gear 23, the 2nd intermediate gear 24 and a swing lever 25 driven by a pneumatic cylinder, etc.
