Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gap adjustment method capable of executing the adjustment of a gap between a fluid flow regulation member of a housing member and a turbine outer peripheral surface part corresponding to the former in a short period of time without any damage occurrence.SOLUTION: The method comprises: a tape preparing process for preparing a tape 10 with a thickness value of a desired gap; a radial position maximum set process for maximally setting the radial position of a fluid flow regulation member 14 with respect to a rotation center axis RS of a turbine 16 using a radial position adjustment mechanism 12; a tape insertion process for inserting a tape 18 having the same thickness as a desired gap into a gap G between the regulation member and a corresponding part 16A of the turbine outer peripheral surface; a fluid flow regulation member positioning process for regulating the gap to the desired value by gradually decreasing the radial position from the maximum by the adjustment mechanism while moving the inserted tape in a circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface so as to stop the movement of the radial position just before the movement of the tape becomes difficult; and a tape removal process for pulling out the tape from the gap.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
