Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for measuring the gap distance between the inner pipe and outer pipe of a double pipe and the position of the inner pipe.SOLUTION: Load measuring means 20 measures the magnetic attraction acting between a first magnetic substance 21 disposed, via a spacer 23, on the outer surface of an outer pipe and a second magnetic substance 22 disposed on the inner surface of an inner pipe. Calculating/controlling means 3 converts an electric signal acquired by the load measuring means 20 into a gap distance between the inner pipe and outer pipe. Display recording means 4 displays or records the gap distance. A vibration transmission material 5 and vibrating means 6 vibrate the whole double pipe, and move the second magnetic substance 22 to a position nearest to the first magnetic substance 21 in a place facing the first magnetic substance 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
